Fleet Manager

I was the fleet manager for six years. I managed the trucks and equipment: which units stayed in service, which went to the shop, and which vendors we used. I set the inspection and repair schedule, called the work in, and tracked every unit that was down. I handled registrations, inspections, and the paperwork that keeps a truck legal. I watched fuel, mileage, and repair cost, and I decided what got fixed, replaced, or pulled. When something failed, I lined up the fix and answered for the downtime. Drivers came to me for the vehicle.
