These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of Deskjobgo (deskjobgo.com), a free job board for office and desk roles at trade companies, based in San Diego, California. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using Deskjobgo, you confirm that you can legally agree to these Terms. If you use the site for a company, you confirm you are allowed to act for that company.
2. Accounts
You create a free account with an email address and password. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at info@deskjobgo.com if you think someone else has used your account. One person, one candidate account.
3. Profile content and accuracy
- Your public profile shows your first name and last initial, city, desk role, skills and a short description.
- The information you add must be true and current. Don’t claim skills, experience or credentials you don’t have.
- Don’t put private details, like your phone number or home address, in your public description.
- You own what you write. You give Deskjobgo permission to store, display and share your profile on the site so employers can find you.
- We may edit or remove content that breaks these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, offensive or illegal content.
- Pretend to be someone else.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Send spam or unrelated advertising.
- Scrape, copy or collect profiles or data with bots or other automated tools.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site.
- Use the site for any purpose other than real hiring and job searching.
5. Employer conduct
Employers who use Deskjobgo agree to:
- Contact candidates only about real job opportunities.
- Follow all employment and anti-discrimination laws.
- Never ask candidates for money, fees or payment of any kind.
- Use candidate information only for hiring, keep it private and not sell or share it.
- Respect a candidate’s choice if they are not interested.
6. No guarantee of a job
Deskjobgo helps candidates and employers find each other. We don’t guarantee that you will be contacted, interviewed or hired, or that any employer will find a candidate. We don’t check every user, job offer or profile, and we are not part of any hiring decision or agreement between you and another user. Use good judgment before sharing personal information or accepting an offer.
7. Free service and future paid employer features
Deskjobgo is free to use today. Candidates will never pay to use Deskjobgo. In the future, we may offer optional paid features for employers. If we do, we will post the details and any extra terms before anyone is charged. Nothing changes for candidates.
8. Termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing info@deskjobgo.com. We may suspend or close any account, or remove any content, if we believe it breaks these Terms or harms other users or the site. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and liability limits) will still apply after your account is closed.
9. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure. We are not responsible for what users post, or for the actions of employers or candidates.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Deskjobgo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost wages, lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the site. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the site after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
